Walks

For walking there are several beautiful paths through forest and farmland around Daphnes and all over the Vassilikos area. These paths are pointed out on the local map you will find in your cottage.

The Loggerhead Sea Turtle

The beaches of Vassilikos in the Laganas bay are the main nesting areas for the Loggerhead Sea Turtle (Caretta Caretta).
The Sea Turtle Protection Society is giving you information and arranging slide-shows at their informationstand at the Gerakas Beach.
We also recommend you to join our friend Mario and his glass-bottom boat on a trip around the bay to enjoy spectacular nature and watching the turtles.

Nature

Zakynthos has many aspects of varied beauty, the island is really looking quite different and very beautiful at its northern parts, so we recommend you to see all of it.
This you can do either by renting a bike or car, or by joining a bus or boat tour around the island.
