A beautiful relaxing place far away from the touristic hustle, close to Porto Roma beach. Nothing better than waking up in the hammock and watching the sunrise between the olivetrees. The appartment was clean and well equiped. Maria told us all about nice snorkling spots and interesting places on the island. Thank you Maria and Dionysos for your kind hospitality. We had a wonderful time.

Daphnes ist der ideale Platz für alle, die abseits des Touristenrummels Ruhe und Erholung suchen! Die gemütlichen Häuser (sehr zu empfehlen ist Villa no. 10 mit der herrlich großen Terrasse!) liegen großzügig verstreut in einem wunderschönen Olivengarten samt blühenden mediterranen Büschen und Zitronenbäumen. Wir haben uns samt unseren Kinder (6 und 3) sehr wohl gefühlt, nicht zuletzt dank der hilfsbereiten und freundlichen Art der Gastgeber Maria und Dionysis!

wir haben im juni 2013 mit unserer Tochter (5 J) 2 wunderbare, erholsame wochen im haus nr. 11 verbracht. die häuser und der garten sind unbeschreiblich schön, so ein ort der ruhe, einschlafen und aufwachen mit vogelgezwitscher oder auch mal ziegenglöckchen. die zitronen für ein erfrischendes getränk einfach vom baum pflücken, ein kräutergarten steht auch zur verfügung. auch den griller haben wir genutzt, wie praktisch, dass am morgen die frau vom fischer mit fang-frischem fisch vorbei kam. unbedingt empfehle ich auch die bootsfahrt mit mario, ein wirklich toller tag, wir haben viel gesehen und erlebt (in den höhlen bei keri schwimmen, ins glasklare meer tauchen, seesterne und seeigel und natürlich caretta caretta). maria und dionysis waren immer hilfsbereit, haben uns jegliche organisation abgenommen, man musste nur sagen, was man braucht und schon wurde es organisiert (mietauto, ausflug). Auch sonst stehen sie mit rat und tat zur seite. außerdem empfehle ich nikos beach bar (porto roma). yianna ist eine wunderbare köchin (unbedingt das essen, was sie frisch gekocht hat), wir haben einige leckere typisch zakynthinische speisen gegessen. in kambi haben wir in der taverne beim kreuz (ganz oben) ein sehr leckeres souvlaki gegessen und dabei die aussicht genossen. als strände in der näheren umgebung haben uns besonders gerakas,dafni und auch porto zoro gefallen. nach 2 wochen war es, als würde man freunden auf wiedersehen sagen.

Vår fyraåring säger fortfarande "jag vill åka till Psakyntos igen pappa". Vi hade två fantastiska veckor tidigt i juni i ett av era hus. Tack för vänligheten och samtalen om allt från löpstigar till Grekisk inreiekspolitik. Och tack för att ni har ett så underbart ställe. Som turist har man svårt att fatta att allting på plats är mycket bättre, vackrare, mer avskilt än vad kan vågade hoppas på. Och baren på stranden och restaurangen på höjden... Tack för en underbar vistelse på Daphnes i juni. Vi gjorde fantastiska äventyr på våra 14 dagar. Vi lever fortfarande på känslan som Porto Roma bjuder på och naturligtivs på er goda olivolja. För oss som familj var allt helt perfekt och nattljuden från djurlivet var underbart avkopplande. Tack för en jättefin service från dig Maria och Dionysos. The loveliest week spent at Daphne's in late August early Sept. The swimming was sublime and the lay-out of the "compound" i.e. houses and gardens was so well thought through and sympathetic that I was thinking "when can I return?" almost immediately I arrived! Our first trip to Zakynthos was more than 10 years ago, and since then we have returned on several occasions to enjoy the simplicity and tranquillity of Porto Roma and Daphnes. It is a place to which you wish to return, and not once during our many stays have we every felt uncomfortable, worried or stressed. This is much thanks to the beautiful and picturesque surrounding where everything from restaurants to pleasure is within walking distance, but mainly thanks to the hosts Maria and Dionysis: Always lovely, competent and helpful. As far as relaxation and enjoyment goes, this is the perfect place. Daphnes Villas is that hidden treasure that you search for when flipping through your travel magazines. It’s the unexploited, genuine Greece.

Liebe Maria, lieber Dionysis - abseits vom hochsommerlichen Touristentrubel ist Daphne's paradiesisch ruhig! Der Strand ganz nah, im Wasser niemals zu voll. Das Sortiment des kleinen Supermarkts ist absolut ausreichend und täglich fährt der Bus in die ganz entzückende Hauptstadt. Unsere Lieblingstaverne ist diejenige direkt am Hafen mit dem traumhaften Blick über die Bucht. Wir hatten erneut den Eindruck, das in Daphne's alles hervorragend organisiert ist - vom täglichen Müllwechsel über die Notapotheke bis zum Ersatzgeschirr. Da wir bislang immer im August bei euch waren und es beide Male sehr heiß war, haben wir relativ wenig unternommen (und uns deshalb super erholt!) und stattdessen Unmengen von Büchern gelesen . Aber wir waren in Olympia, haben eine Jeeptour und eine Glasbodenbootfahrt gemacht! Habe euch schon ganz vielen Freunden und Bekannten, mit und ohne Kindern, empfohlen! We had the most amazing relaxing holiday - no mean feat with three children under 6. The gardens are beautiful (in particular the olive grove playground), the location is brilliantly convenient for visiting beaches and eating out and the hosts make you feel unbelieveably welcome. We feel very lucky to have found Daphnes.

Hej Maria och Dionysis! Vi njöt av varje sekund under våran greklandsvecka: värmen,det varma, klara vattnet, medelhavsdofterna och framförallt det underbara och rofyllda boendet hos er. Avskedet blev lite hastigt då taxichauffören kom tidigt och stod och stampade. Vi längtar redan tillbaka!! Tack för all hjälp och lycka till med er fina sommarhus!!!

Just back from two lovely weeks at Daphnes. If you're after a relaxing, laid back beach holiday it really is hard to beat. The accommodation is perfect, well thought out with everything you need, very clean with nice, homey touches. The central reception area where you can borrow books, toys and games was a real hit with young and old alike, and the owners Maria and Dionysus are really kind and helpful, and take any stress out of normal holiday arrangements such as hiring a car or arranging a boat trip. Porto Roma beach is 2 minutes walk away and is delightful, especially good for families. Thank you for a wonderful time, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Daphnes to anyone.

Hej Maria & Dionysos, och tack för en helt makalöst skön vistelse i en av era vackra villor. :) Det här var en supersemester - fridfullt o privat i o kring huset, och sen massor av aktiviteter och smultronställen runt om på ön, bl a snorklingen utanför fyren på norra udden, och hopptornet på västra kusten. Super att ha så pålästa och lyhörda värdar - både för tips för ö-vistelsen, och för Aten-resan sedan. Ha en riktigt skön höst! Hej Maria och Dionysis. Vill bara skriva kort och tacka er för den fina semester vi fick tack vare er. Det var vi som bodde i hus 8 den 3-17/6 + släkten runtomkring. Vi kommer att leva länge på alla varma minnen vi fick från ön. Barnen älskade att vara hos er och pratar fortfarande nästan varje dag om sånt de var med om, och att de vill tillbaks förstås. Thank you for 2 wonderful weeks! It was even more fantastic than we expected. Partly because the cottages are so cosy and the garden so peaceful and beautiful and the photos on your website dont really show how fine it is. We also did not expect that there were so many nice places on the island to visit. With your help and suggestions we had a wonderful time exploring all of the island and the town. Here are our Top 5 for beaches and taverns: Beaches: Porto Roma (to the far left we found our own mini-cove and we enjoyed Jannas lovely eggs "strapatsada" for lunch at Nikos Beachbar), Gerakas (for evening swim before they close the beach at 8 pm), Dafni beach(lovely to sit in the shadow of the pine trees on the beach and have fresh fish for lunch at one of the taverns on the beach), Limiona (swimming off the rocks in deep cold water and eating at Limionas super-tavern), Marathia beach(white soft rocks for a change!, fantastic tavern " To Votsalo" as well) Taverns: Dionysos (next door, good traditional greek food, very friendly and clean) Delfinia (almost next door, large selection of food and very beautiful garden). Limiona (just fantastic), Triodi (at Gerakas, hidden behind the others, very good), Komis fish( in Zante town, incomparable, especially the starters impressed us). Kære Maria og Dionysis! Hjemvendt og begyndt på arbejde igen kan man kun længes efter at komme tilbage til jeres rare, solrige og fredelige lille oase på Zakynthos. Sjældent har vi været et sted, hvor blev sørget så godt for, og hvor man følte sig modtaget som gode venner eller nære familiemedlemmer. Stor tak til jer begge for gode historier, råd og vejledning. Vi fik nogle super dage takket være de ord, vi fik med på vejen fra jer. Og endnu engang tak for hjælpen med Solbjørk, da hun slog hovedet. Til alle andre: Vi kan ikke andet, end anbefale det her sted på det varmeste. Voksne som børn er i gode gode hænder. Legepladsen er et fint og trygt mødested for børnene, områdets beboere, den lokale købmand og medarbejderne på de små restauranter. Alle er utrolig søde og venlige. Skønne strande lige i nærheden. Our family spent a week in early july 2008 at this wonderful place. Beautiful garden, tranquil surroundings and helpful, friendly owners. It is simply easy to fall in love with this place. Call it a cliché, its heartfelt nevertheless. At night you only hear the soft whistling calls of the scops owls in the kermes oaks, and occassional tidbits of conversation from the neighbours. Couldn´t be better, as far as we are concerned. Gerakas beach is fantastic! Do not miss to go turtlespotting with Mario! And support the turtle conservation activities, they are doing a great job!

We desperately needed a break like that. The children loved it - the beaches and all the games we played, the late meals at the local taverna, and the playing of cards on the veranda until midnight. Dear friends, After having the guestbook closed for a long time we will try again and hope that no spam will disturb us...We had a good season last year and look forward to another fine summer this year with guests from many different countries. Many are coming back and that makes us feel very good and we are also happy that many new people find their way to us and Zakynthos, our beautiful island! The winter this year has been very mild and dry. The first rain came yesterday, we hope there will be more of it because the plants and trees really need it. Now the hills above Gerakas are yellow from all the flowers and all the trees are green with new leaves again. The sea is unusually warm, Dionysis has been swimming the whole winter. Our first guests are arriving end of April. May looks busier than usual which is nice because May is such a wonderful time to be here. Daphnes var över förväntan! Underbart!Allt var perfekt (förutom myggen då..) Min mamma och jag firade våra 50 resp 70-årsdagar här med familj och vänner, 16 personer totalt! Bodde alla i ett och samma hus, frukost på en veranda, en drink på en annan, middag ibland. Maria och Dionysis ordnade "förfest" vid huset och även middag på restaurang Perasma som var den bästa! Tack för dessa minnesvärda två veckor i juni! Vi kommer tillbaka! Moa Schmekel Inge-May Nygren samt övrig familj och vänner
**************************************************** Daphnes was even better than we expected! Wonderful! Everything was perfect(except the mosquitos..) My mother and I celebrated our 50th and 70th birthday here with family and friends, 16 people all together! We all stayed in one apartment building, had breakfast together on one of the verandas, a drink on another and sometimes dinner as well. Maria and Dionysis arranged "starters and drinks" for the celebration at the apartments and also birthday dinner at the tavern called Perasma, the best tavern!
